D’Andre Swift Fantasy Fantasy Football Four Factors

There was a ton of shock when the Lions cut ties with Swift this offseason. D’Andre Swift was always a productive fantasy running back because of heavy receiving work, but he has never been able to put together a full season of truly impressive stats.

D’Andre Swift might have a surprisingly low pedigree score, all things considered. Part of this is not being able to stay healthy over the last two years. But if you look closer at his stats, he never has been able to get the kind of rushing yards he would need. His 4.5/10 pedigree score is a bench player score.

Even worse, his trend score indicates that his performance has gotten worse over the course of the last 2 years. He lost about 10% from his peak points per game two years ago. This score is also due to his drop in production towards the end of last season. He earned a 2.5/10 trend score.

D’Andre Swift also got a 5.5/10 consistency score. When you consider his lack of ability to stay healthy the whole season, this otherwise mediocre score is actually fairly impressive. Swift seems to never have dud games. That may be subject to change, though, as his role evolves on the Eagles.

His 5.5/10 expert consensus score reflects that the expectation for D’Andre Swif tis to be a borderline weekly starter, probably just missing the cut. Compared to his expectations going into last year, this is a huge decline. In my notes last year I had written down “Swift is a league winner”. And he wasn’t.

D’Andre Swift Stats Analysis

The addition of D’Andre Swift to the Eagles is interesting, if difficult to analyze. The offense is already loaded behind their elite QB and pairing of two elite receivers. The Eagles have always split carries in the backfield since the days of Shady. I find it hard to believe this is the year it changes.

Though, if it does change, D’Andre Swift could be in for a huge year. If he gets teh bulk of the backfield work, he only really has to compete with Hurts for TDs. And if I know anything, this team will score a lot of TDs.
