Jerry Jeudy Fantasy Fantasy Football Four Factors
The Broncos last year had one of the most disappointing seasons in recent memory. But that doesn’t mean Jeudy had a disappointing season. On the contrary, he was able to put together a pretty nice season overall, finishing as the WR18.
Let’s start with Jerry Jeudy’s pedigree score. Though he finished WR18 last year, the year prior he was WR90+ because he couldn’t stay on the field. These combine to a 4.5/10 pedigree score for Jeudy. This is likely lower than it would be if we did a per-game analysis as Jeudy has missed a lot of time over the last two seasons.
The time he missed over the last two seasons is the reason for his 4.5/10, below average consistency score. Also contributing to this is the fact that Jeudy was extremely unpredictable last year. Many times he put up low single digit points games. I never felt comfortable starting him. This is captured in his consistency score.
On the other hand, jerry Jeudy has one of the better trend scores of players we looked at. Part of this might be skewed by his huge 3 TD game towards the end of last season. But if you look at the season-long averages between 2021 and 2022, Jeudy got demonstrably better. I actually think that Jeudy’s WR18 performance last year is closer to his true level.
The experts all like Jerry Jeudy quite a bit this year. He earned a 7/10 expert consensus ranking score. This number is a mid-range WR2, very comparable to where he finished last year. There is a good chance that in your leagues, he gets overdrafted as players overcompensate for his strong end to last season. But taking him around WR18 or a bit higher is quite reasonable.
Jerry Jeudy Stats Analysis
Russell Wilson, Nathaniel Hackett, and Sean Payton. For Jerry Jeudy, there are actually three elephants in the room. Expectations for Jeudy last year were sky high as Russel Wilson came in to run the Broncos offense. But he looked a shell of his former self.
Was this Nathaniel Hackett’s fault or Russell Wilson’s? If it was Hackett’s, is Sean Payton the right guy to set the team in the right direction? If so, then Jeudy could have a really, really nice season this year. But if Russell Wilson still stinks, I would be wary of drafting him.
