Joe Burrow scared every Cincinnati fan by pulling his calf muscle and missing another preseason to start his career. With his knee injury two years ago, his appendicitis last year, and the calf injury this year Burrow can’t seem to stay healthy in the offseason.
Even despite Burrow not being able to stay on the field consistently in the preseason, when the regular season starts he has been well above average in consistency. Though not as consistent as Mahomes or Allen, Burrow earns a 9/10 consistency score.
Joe Burrow has gotten better every year of his career. From 17, to 19, to 20.5 points per game in his first three seasons, he has had a strong positive trend to start his career. This has earned Burrow a strong 6/10 trend score.

Last year, the Bengals altered their offensive scheme and focused on lots of quick passes. This was in response to slightly below average offensive line play. However, this year the offensive line is expected to be much better, even potentially being a plus position group.
It will be interesting to see how this impacts Joe Burrow from a fantasy perspective. We might expect more explosive plays (heads up Ja’Marr Chase fans!), but on the other hand we might expect a more successful run game. Anything can happen.
