Joe Mixon Fantasy Fantasy Football Four Factors

Joe Mixon is usually the last RB1 on the rankings for most analysts. His 7.5/10 pedigree score puts him in “every week starter” range but falls just short of elite level player. This is just what the experts think.

Joe Mixon’s pedigree is significantly higher than his consensus ranking. A 9/10 pedigree corresponds to multiple back-to-back top 5-10 seasons. And that is just what Mixon has done over the last two years.

What scares most people off is Mixon’s off-field troubles and his trend in recent games. His consistency is fine, at 4.5/10. But his trend has been in a slightly downward direction. Whether this was nagging injuries, the presence of Samaje Perine who is now departed, or actual decreased abilities is unknown. But Mixon is a very interesting player with a very strong resume.

Joe Mixon Stats Analysis

Joe Mixon is a type of player that could win a league this year. He has a history of elite performance (9/10 pedigree) and exists on one of the best offenses in the league. Moreover, his running mate Samaje Perine has departed and it is unclear who else on the Bengals (if anyone) can fill a similar role.

Mixon might just be able to get high volume between the 20s and in the red zone which leads to super productive seasons. He is a very interesting, although perhaps somewhat risky, pick.
