Patrick Mahomes is one of the easiest fantasy football players to talk about. If you ask anyone on the street what they think of Mahomes the answer is “he’s been good each and every game and will continue tj be good each and every game”. This is exactly what our data shows.
Mahomes starts off with a 10/10 pedigree score. This isn’t really a question: he has been a top quarterback every year he has been a starter.
Next, Mahomes is absolutely elite when my comes to consistency, earning a rare 10/10. This is because he plays every one of his team’s snaps, because he rarely if ever misses time, and is always good when he plays.
The only score that doesn’t look that great is tbt at our model gives Patrick Mahomes a 5.5/10 for trend. This isn’t a bad score, it just means his performance has been consistent. When you’re already the most talented QB to ever play the game, there isn’t a lot of improvement left tn be made.
All of this wraps up to give Mahomes a 9/10 consensus ranking. Why not a 10? Because outside of superflex leagues, the QB position isn’t quite as valuable due to the lack of positional scarcity. This leads to slightly lower values in the consensus column. But Patrick Mahomes is as good as it gets.

If you look at a bunch of different four factors profiles, you’ll notice that quarterbacks tend to do quite well in the consistency category. This isn’t a failure of our model, it is because quarterbacks ARE more consistent.
Good quarterbacks play every snap and are involved in every play. Moreover, they get hurt much less than other skill positions. Quarterbacks are extremely consistent and is one of the reasons I think an elite QB is always a good draft pick.
