Travis Etienne fantasy analysis with four factors

Travis Etienne Fantasy Fantasy Football Four Factors

Travis Etienne rounds out many people’s top 10 running backs list for the 2023 fantasy football season. He is an exciting player on what looks to be a very good offense. Perhaps most importantly, the target and carry hog James Robinson is no longer on the team. These factors combine to lead to an expert consensus ranking of 8/10.

Etienne’s pedigree does not back up his consensus ranking, though. Etienne was hurt his entire rookie season and shared a backfield with the incredibly productive James Robinson. These both lead to a 4.5/10 pedigree score which is significantly lower than his consensus score. Whenever these two differ, eyebrows should raise.

What might serve to quell fears of Etienne is his 7.5 trend score. Etienne struggled to score for the first half of the season. This trend (pun) was broken as he came on very strong to close the 2022 campaign. This increase in productivity and usage largely explains his increased consensus rankings.

Lastly, Etienne’s consistency score is in the dumps. He couldn’t perform at a consistent clip and couldn’t stay on the field while Robinson was still around. These both lead to an abysmal 1/10 consistency.

Travis Etienne Stats Analysis

Travis Etienne is exciting. How you think of him really revolves around how you think the departure of James Robinson will affect Travis Etienne. If you look at the end of last season when the backfield transitioned to Etienne, you may be more excited about this pick than most.
