Tyler Higbee Fantasy Fantasy Football Four Factors
The tight end market gets really thin from about number 8 on. Trying to pick the right player if you don’t get one of the elite options is very difficult. Tyler Higbee is often the 12th ranked TE, the last guy that should be starting in any given week. We expect his profile to look poor. And it does.
Tyler Higbee has been consistent – consistent in missing games and putting up solidly mediocre numbers. He has missed a game or two over the season pretty much his whole career. Last year he had games with 14 targets, and games with none. You never know what you’ll get which makes him a scary play. Hence his 3.5/10 consistency score.
Tyler Higbee also earns a 3.5/10 pedigree score. In each of the last two seasons, he has finished as roughly the TE15. This is not the type of guy you want to be starting every week.
Even the trend score for Tyler Higbee is negative. A 4.5/10 indicates that his performance actually decreased over the last two seasons. Part of this could be Stafford missing time last year. But more than likely Tyler Higbee is going to remain the same – average from a fantasy perspective.
Tyler Higbee Stats Analysis
I don’t really see many bright spots or opportunities for a breakout from Tyler Higbee. Two years ago, some folks got excited because of the departure of Gerald Everett. Higbee failed to capitalize on this.
This year, I’ve heard talk that “with Stafford coming back, Higbee should improve”. I doubt this is the case because, again, Higbee was the only guy with Stafford in 2021 and still failed to perform. The only player that should be thankful for Stafford’s return is Cooper Kupp.
