Dallas Goedert Fantasy Fantasy Football Four Factors
Dallas Goedert started his career as the random “who the heck is this guy” behind Zach Ertz monster seasons in Philadelphia. But now he has earned a name of his own that corresponds to a very good fantasy tight end.
Let’s start with the most important part of the Dallas Goedert analysis, his consistency score. While Goedert has been reasonable when it comes to game-to-game variance, he has not been able to stay on the field as much as fantasy owners would like. He missed 5 games last year and 2 the year before. In fact, since his rookie year he has always missed at least one game. This corresponds to Goedert getting a below average 3.5/10 consistency score.
His penchant for missing time has also dampened just a bit his pedigree score. In 2021, he would have had a really good chance at reaching 1,000 yards if he had only played the same season. The same is true of last year.
He couldn’t stay healthy, though. His good performance tempered by injuries and missed time lead to a 6/10 pedigree score.
There isn’t much to say about Goedert’s trend score, a perfectly average 5/10. This isn’t terribly surprising for a veteran like Goedert, though. As long as he isn’t having a negative trend at this point in his career, that is a good sign.
Dallas Goedert also earned a 6/10 in the expert consensus category. This number perfectly matches his pedigree score. This means that we expect the exact same performance from Goedert next year as we did the last two years. Again, with his 5/10 trend score in mind, this all makes sense.
I will say that being on such a high powered offense, there is plenty of opportunity for Goedert to have a big season. If one of the two receivers goes down or if Dallas Goedert gets touchdown happy, I think his ceiling is as high as TE2. Nobody beats Kelce, though.
Dallas Goedert Stats Analysis
It is hard being the fourth option on a team and still being fantasy relevant. Luckily for Dallas Goedert, the Eagles offense is good enough that he can still get some scraps behind AJ Brown, Devonta Smith, and Jalen Hurts.
I think Goedert is a pretty interesting upside play this year. He has been making improvements each year of his career and he is only one small step from entering into truly exciting TE territory.
