JK Dobbins Fantasy Fantasy Football Four Factors
JK Dobbins has a very interesting four factors report card. It kind of reminds me of Isiah Pacheco’s results. The ancillary stats – pedigree, consistency, and trend – are all either really good or really bad.
For Dobbins, the story is all about, his injuries. In the last two years he has played a total of 8 games. Because of this he finished pretty far back in the rankings. He gets a 0.5/10 pedigree score. Even though he passes the eye test on his really small sample size, he just. Hasn’t. Done. anything.
His consistincy score being a 1/10 is due to the same issue. In the last 2 years he only played 8 games. His availability has been a real dampener on his fantasy resume. Even in those 8 games his performance has been fairly inconsistent. He has multiple low single digit performances along with many high teen weeks.
His trend score, at first glance, looks insanely impressive. A 9/10 technically means his trend was better than 90% of fantasy relevant players. But because of his small sample size, it is easier to get a positiuve trend score. While he did get better over the course of those 8 games, it isn’t as impressive as it looks.
The best bet is to start by looking at his per game stats last year. Then, mix in a bit of uncertainty based on the unavailability of Dobbins in the past. Use this to make your own valuation. When the experts did this, they landed on a pretty strong consensus ranking of 7/10. This is mid-RB2 territory. That means they think Dobbins is being pretty heavily underdrafted this year.
JK Dobbins Stats Analysis
Expectations for the Ravens this year are sky high, as well they should be. They almost beat the Bengals in the playoffs last year with Huntley at the helm. Their offense is completely, 100% better than it was in hte playoffs last year.
From Mark Andrews to Lamar Jackson to JK Dobbins, the talent on the offense is impressive. Then, mix in some new receiver talent with Odell and rookie Zay Flowers and the Ravens could put up a ton of points. This could lead to a huge year for JK Dobbins.
